Al-Harah Theater is hosting "Yoya" play for Aseera Theater from Palestine within The International Children and Youth Theater Festival "Yalla Yalla" 2017, on Monday 3/4/2017 at 6:30 pm at The Russian Center - Bethlehem.
The show is targeting children between 5 - 10 years.
“Yoya” Play
“Yoya” play depends on the celebration, humor, and the interaction with the audience. It presents the issue of violence, greed and oppression in an exciting way.
The interaction between the audience and the actors is a great part of the play, it attract children with its techniques in using puppets. Will the pirates succeed to seize the island of gold, I mean the dates island … was it a gold island for real? Or not everything that shines is gold?
Aseera Theater
Aseera Theater is a touring company performing plays for children and adults. It is known as a theater that uses puppets, masks, and actors. It was established by Radi Shehadeh in 1984 who was also a cofounder of The Palestinian National Theater in Jerusalem. All the plays are written and directed by Radi Shehadeh who is inspired by issues related to the daily life, culture, and heritage in Palestine using different theater techniques, music, dance, scenography, costumes, puppets, and masks.
Assera Theater performed its plays all over Palestine, and participated in different festivals in Europe, USA, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Japan.
